Gala Bingo TV is sponsoring the launch of former housemate Craig Phillips’ new autobiography - ‘My Story, Building Beyond Big Brother’ - at a star-studded event in Liverpool on Thursday (23 July) evening.
Craig, who shot to fame in 2000 as the winner of the first series of Big Brother and recently appeared on Gala TV’s ‘Housemate Bingo’ themed show, will unveil his book at the Sir Thomas Hotel in front of 250 guests, which are set to include Ricky Tomlinson, Jonny Vegas, Ryan Giggs, Frankie Dettori, Chesney Hawkes, Peter Crouch, Jenny Powell, Ben Fogle, Claire Sweeney and James Martin.
Sponsoring the launch forms part of Gala TV’s Big Brother-themed activity throughout July, which has also seen popular former housemates Alison Hammond and Anthony Hutton share their great insights into what life’s like living in the famous house and what they’ve been up to since being part of the phenomenon.
Gala TV’s director of programmes, Paul Tremain, said: “Given our Big Brother-themed show and how popular Craig was with our viewers when he appeared, it seemed a natural progression to support the launch of his autobiography. Our chat rooms were buzzing when Craig shared the projects he’s been working on since he won Big Brother nine years ago.”
He added: “In the last of our ‘Housemate Bingo’ shows on Sunday (July 26) at 8pm, we’ll be giving away signed copies of Craig’s autobiography as well as giving our viewers great chances to win from just 10p a ticket.”
Available on Sky and Freesat channel 861, Gala TV awards 200,000 winners a year and gives away approximately £20,000 each night in prize money. Viewers can play a variety of bingo and side games by simply using their remote control red button or through the webstream on www.galabingo.com.
