A Derby woman was delighted this week, after winning 11,000 playing bingo.
The lucky lady, who wishes to remain anonymous, was playing at the Gala Club in Liversage Street, Derby when she completed a full house in 43 numbers.
Phillip Lewis, the main stage caller at the Gala, who saw the 40-year-old win, told the National Bingo that it was "good to see a regular player being rewarded".
He added: "It was a good day for the club as that same evening another lady won a regional prize of more than 2,000 and just missed out by one number on the national prize of 34,000."
The grand total of 11,000 was comprised of 10,280 from the National Game prize, plus the regional prize of 1,112 and then the house prize of 15.
Many bingo fans are now choosing to play online at sites such as Virgin Bingo, Foxy Bingo and Kiss My Bingo, where they can enjoy the game from the comfort of their own homes.
