‘No worries’ for TV bingo winner

A man from south Wales has spoken about how he and his family have “no immediate money worries” after pocketing £25,000 playing an interactive bingo game.

Dave Weller, a 51-year-old father of three, won the big prize on the last Bingo Night Live show of the series.

He told the ITV1 programme’s official website that he only found out he had won the Golden Jackpot after waking up following a quick nap.

Mr Weller had bought his ticket for the game before falling asleep when it got underway.

The Welshman was “absolutely gobsmacked” when he realised the extent of his windfall.

“I can’t believe I’ve won that much money without having to spend a penny playing,” he explained to the portal.

Bingo Night Live website has made 20,000 people winners on the 99 shows that have been aired, according to a statement on the series’ website.
