There were more than 100 happy bingo players that left a Sheffield numbers game club recently.

A total of 110 gamers were rewarded with a cash sum after one 45-year-old won the national Gala High 5 game in the city, reports the Sheffield Telegraph.

Even though she wishes to remain anonymous, the newspaper was able to reveal that the lucky lady hails from Stannington.

Her success resulted in an individual windfall of 174,367 and a separate 165,352 prize, which was shared out between the other 109 people present in the hall.

Commenting to the publication after her victory, the unnamed woman said: "A lady came up to me in the toilets and said 'you've really made my Christmas' - that just says it all."

Festive promotions are on offer at a number of online bingo sites at present.

Bingo Hideout recently claimed that gamers should combine doing their Christmas shopping with playing the numbers game on the internet.
