Bingo callers in the UK are regarded as entertainers by one London-based charity, it has emerged.
Homeless organisation Crisis is looking for those who announce the digits at numbers game halls across the country to join other acts in putting on a selection of shows during the festive period.
The East London Advertiser reports that Crisis is organising a host of productions that will entertain those who live on the capital's streets.
It is a regular event, dubbed Crisis Christmas, and has been running for the last 37 years - this time in Whitechapel.
Mecca Bingo released some bingo caller news earlier this year.
In a statement on the company's website, it was revealed that employee Ann Copley was retiring after 38 years of service.
She was able to go out with a bang by calling the numbers on her final night of employment at Mecca Exeter.
