Everyone's favourite fox and his bingo loving pals have�been out and about again, and by all accounts having a lot of fun, frolics and most importantly enjoying some fab Bingo action! This time they've been sailing the high seas - and it's slightly more exotic that your local bingo hall - they cruised all the way from Portsmouth to Bilbao, Spain!
Unfortunately, all us folks here at�BingoBase have been�too busy keeping you guys posted with�all the lastest Bingo news to�join Foxy and friends, but we've caught up with the lucky ones who did, and got all the hot Foxy gossip!�
FOXY BINGO SET SAIL AND RULED THE WAVES�ABOARD THE "PRIDE OF BILBAO" ON THE PLAYERS' CRUISE TO SPAIN LAST WEEK!�
This was the 4th Foxy Bingo cruise - a 3 night voyage packed with entertainment - of course,�there was a big�bingo night (with cash jackpots of up to �1000!)�karaoke and gameshows. The luxurious cruise ship, the "Pride of Bilbao" had everything you could wish for;�a cinema, casino, indoor swimming pool and fitness center, plus three restaurants and a choice of bars! Lucky Foxy players also spent some time on dry land, exploring the home port of Santurtzi,�the famous�Guggenheim museum,�Bilbao or�a traditional Spanish Fishing Village, Castro Urdiales. Bingo, sunshine, your fave roomies and some culture too - what more could you ask for!
Here are some of the highlights from Captain Foxy's Voyage Log...
A little birdie told us: "There was high jinx and hot competition amongst the 130 Foxy bingo players as they set sail from Portsmouth on the four-day �eyes down� extravaganza. It was a win-win experience as�they enjoyed top class West End entertainment and live music between Foxy bingo from shore-to-shore".
So what did the players think? �I had a brilliant time,� says Karlos795 (Gail Williams). �The party started as soon as we set sail and it only stopped whenever the Captain called �eyes down� time.�
The Foxy Cruise wasn�t all about winning jackpots and prizes�it was a great opportunity to meet roomie friends and Chat Hosts, too. CH Sunnie says she was thrilled to get to put faces to names of the players she chats to in her bingo rooms. �Players kept greeting each other like long lost friends. It felt like one big Foxy family gathering!�
Helensupermum� (Helen Webb) thought she�d won the jackpot just by getting on board the cruise ship. �I had to find a team of four babysitters for my twin boys, daughter and new baby before I even thought about packing my suitcase!
�I got on the ship with my roomie mate Foxylicious1 (Pauline Cliffen) and promptly dropped my� bingo dabber and my cabin key overboard�but it didn�t stop me having a whale of a time. Thanks Foxy bingo.�
Nannaraspberry (Jannette Collins) felt a chill down her spine when she scooped �320 on the Foxy cruise. �My mum, Dolly, lived and died for bingo. She played until she was too weak to hold her dabber,� says Nannaraspberry, who usually enjoys a Foxy Flutter in the early hours after her night shifts as a carer. �As I was leaving home to get on board the Foxy cruise, my favourite photograph of my mum fell off the wall. I think it was s sign from her telling me to have a great time and win a full house for her! Thanks, mum.�
Best roomie mates, Catkins and Spankster aka Catherine Wotherspoon and Deborah Hiddleston,� shared a cabin and then shared a �340 Foxy win in the last game of the cruise before we docked at Portsmouth. �Our win came just as we thought we�d be going home empty handed�but with lots of memories of a fun time,� says Spankster, who won the cruise tickets playing Foxy bingo.
Some Foxy sailors felt a little queasy when the waves lashed the bow of the ship�but they had no fear of being washed overboard. That's because they had�Foxy Lifeguards onboard to man the life boats! Can you belive that!
Doriss, Squirreloo1 and Loo 37 (Mandy Austin,� Glynis Nay and Lisa Heard) teamed up in their special Foxy Lifeguard tee-shirts to play on-board bingo. "We were game for a laugh and the Foxy cruise lived up to our expectations�it was great.�
Foxy players�had travelled from as far away as Scotland and Ireland�to Portsmouth to join the cruise�and they all agreed it was worth the long journey. Jodinesgran (Susan Wise) left her Ayreshire home at dawn to join the ship, with her daughter-in-law Jarjib2k8 (Andrea Mitchell). �I wouldn�t miss the chance to play Foxy bingo anywhere in the world,� she says. �Foxy Chat Hosts are the best in the business and I love meeting them on Foxy cruises�keep�up the good work guys!�
Erica Campbell alias Cheeseybun and her hubby chose the Foxy cruise for their first romantic trip in 20 years. They began each day on the rowing machines in the ship gym. �I tried to win Foxy cruise tickets, but without luck, so my husband bought me some instead,� says� Cheeseybun.� �I love Foxy bingo and won a total of �15,000 in two months, so I wanted to try my luck on the high seas.� Cheeseybun has a special strategy for playing Foxy bingo. �I�m a busy lady, so I buy my tickets in advance�log off�go away�and come back to a win! It�s a really exciting way to play.� Let�s hope it works for her when she gets back on dry land.
A lost passport meant Starkitten missed the boat, but she generously gave her roomie mate Dessycool27, the cruise tickets she won on Foxy.� �She won the tickets and asked me to join her on the cruise. We�ve never met, but made friends in the Foxy chat rooms, so I was looking forward to meeting her, but she lost her passport and told me to take my daughter with me instead,� says Dessycool27. �Starkitten missed some fantastic bingo. I want to win tickets for the next Foxy cruise so she can come with me.�
Jennysambuca (Jennifer Sanders) was nominated Foxy cheerleader by her ship mates MrsAT, Frazz and Bigbird56 aka Alison Taylor, Dawn Farrell and Audrey Sanders. Check out her big bingo panties in our Foxy picture gallery!
When luck is on your side, you can�t avoid a bingo win as proved on board by Nannaraspberry (Janette Collins). She won a �100 on a single line and then SWAPPED bingo cards with her roomie pal DesertEales (Liam Eales)! �DesertEales wasn�t having much luck and commented that I must have a special card�so I swapped cards with him. Then I WON again on his card. I couldn�t believe it! �The prize was �50 to spend in the duty free shop. DesertEales bought me a bottle of Bailey�s to say thanks!�
The Crazy Troopers Foxy bingo team were on board the good ship bingo�minus Hacmac who could�t make it, but rest assured, Hacmac. Your team mates� Caz 2309, George 75 and DesertEales played and partied with the best of them.
�It would have been even better if Hacmac had been with us and we�d love to have met CH Pru because she has been a real support to us through some tough times recently".
Popular CH Loveheart was on board for her very first trip abroad. She travelled up to Portsmouth from Cornwall showing off her new passport to anyone she met. �I was so excited to use my first ever passport,� says Loveheart. �Next stop is America to watch my favourite sport, Wrestlemania!�
Bingo blondie, Jackdl (Mandy Owst) invited her blonde mates to sail with her when she won tickets for the Foxy cruise. And the girls won the very first game of the cruise sharing �360. �We had a ball. The best thing was meeting people you only get to chat to while playing Foxy bingo. We met Dessycool27 and enjoyed a few drinks and dances with her,� says Jackdl.
Whitewolf1 (Lee Kemp) and his mum Janette were on board to the delight of the Foxy Radio listeners back on shore. Whitewolf1 was the special cruise correspondent via the ship-to-shore telephone link. Foxy radio host Anna�broadcast his gossip on the games live to her listeners. �I told them about the winners and the parties on board the good ship Pride of Bilbao and revealed my own news�I had a white wolf tattoo done on my arm especially for the cruise�check out the pictures on the Foxy website.�
A hen night on the high seas�was Captain�s orders for Boomerbaby (Ruth Bowman) and her wedding party. The girls gathering included Ems 19 (Sonya Morrice), Minty05 (Sandra Dancer), Earthraven, and Loopylindalou2 (Linda Bruff). �Goodness knows how, but we kept the hen party secret from Boomerbaby�she thought we were going on the cruise just to play bingo,� says Loopylindalou2. �We dressed up to the nines, played a couple of games of bingo and then partied �til 3am.� Good old Foxy presented the �hens� with a bingo celebration cake. And that wasn�t the last of the surprises�Liquirice met the girls off the ship and carried on the party in Portsmouth. The bride-to-be will live in Egypt after the wedding next month so best of luck to you Mrs Boomerbaby.
