Breaking News – Pensioner given Anti Social Bingo Order
A 76 year old pensioner who was BANNED from playing at her local bingo hall for arranging a trip to a rival venue is now being sponsored to play online!
The lovely people at Ladbrokesbingo.com offered a first ever “Bingo Ambassador” role to Rose Clemson after hearing that Mecca Bingo had slapped a lifelong ASBO – Anti Social Bingo Order (!) on the elderly lady. This meant that not only is Rose barred from her local Mecca bingo hall, but more than 100 Mecca bingo halls across Britain too!
Ruairi Boyle, Head of Ladbrokes Bingo said, ”When Mrs Clemson’s plight was brought to our attention our hearts went out to her. ”It does seem a drastic measure to ban a lifelong member – but in this instance their loss of a loyal customer is our gain. With so much experience Mrs Clemson will prove an invaluable asset to Ladbrokes Bingo.”
Now Everything’s Coming Up “Roses”!
As part of the sponsorship deal Ladbrokes Bingo have given grandmother Rose, a top of the range laptop along with a monthly cash deposit into her bingo account. They will also present her with a flashy new Ladbrokes Bingo mobility scooter, so she can spread the word about her new online bingo experience. And in return, pensioner Rose , who has been playing bingo for over 50 years will use her wealth of knowledge to help grow the brand, and advise on new games and promotions.
Mr. Boyle added: “She will assume an ambassador role and act as an advisor/consultant on our many new games and promotions. Mrs Clemson is the linchpin of one of the most powerful social networks ever, local community – after all word of mouth is the basis of sites such as Facebook and Myspace. Who knows, she could be the first of many recruits we commission to spread the Ladbrokes Bingo word. It could be the beginning of a new ‘old school’ network – The Blue Rinse bingo brigade. We’re really excited to have her on board!”
Rose was moved to tears when she learnt of the generous offer from Ladbrokesbingo.com. She said: “I can’t believe their kindness – I’m gobsmacked, not only have I been given the chance to continuing playing, but I now have a new job at the grand old age of 76. I can’t wait to get started. I guess its true what they say every cloud does have a silver lining. I’ll still be able to play bingo and also venture out on my new Ladbrokes Bingo scooter to see my friends and get them to play on Ladbrokes Bingo too.”
