West Ham Look To The Apprentice For Answers

by Penny Walker

West Ham United's failure to win more than one game in their last seven has seen them lose their Premiership status, and with the quick decision to sack Avram Grant it was clear where the management were putting the blame. A little harsh considering the fun and games in January when Avram waved goodbye to the fans on the back of the rumours Martin O'Neill was dotting the i's and crossing the t's.

Avram didn't get the chance that day to take Wayne Bridge and James Tomkins to the boardroomand bizarrely no-one was "fired". Ploughing on as Team Logic for the next four months has clearly cost West Ham while the likes of West Brom managed to swiftly change manager without the need for any boardroom bickering.

Avram Grant can count himself unlucky to be fired considering David Sullivan is clearly the shortest on the team albeit not the youngest. Personally, I think West Ham should maybe wait and see how The Apprentice pans out before making yet another rash decision within "2 to 3 weeks". Although Steve McClaren back in UK football will provide plenty of comedy value at the hammers.
