Channel 5 look ready to "Party" with their new Bingo venture! In latest news, Channel Five have announced that they will be launching an online bingo and casino service as part of an attempt to expand its digital business and tap into new revenues.

Channel Five has struck the exclusive deal with the world�s biggest listed online gaming company PartyGaming to create �Five�-branded bingo and casino gaming services. The Channel 5 Bingo service will launch at some point in the next six months and will be promoted "extensively" by the broadcaster while operated by PartyGaming. PartyGaming already have similar experience from a previous deal with ITV to create digital gaming services for its key brands such as Emmerdale.

Last month media regulator Ofcom reclassified TV gambling as teleshopping and gave terrestrial broadcasters the go ahead to carry such programming for up to six hours a day. This was widely expected to trigger a string of similar collaborations between TV channels and gaming firms; this new deal comes just a few months after Channel 5 picked up TV distribution rights to EuroTeleMillions.com, a cash draw operated by interactive gaming company NetPlay TV.

Dawn Airey, chair and chief executive of Channel 5 said: �Five is looking aggressively at how to expand its presence in digital media, both in terms of its core broadcast content as well as allied offerings that reflect the channel�s unique sense of dynamism and fun.�
