By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 4 Jul 2007 Bingo players will be queuing up to get into the Gala Bingo Club in Cramlington after it turned up two winners in as many days.
A 69-year-old woman has scooped a £50,000 bingo jackpot at the club she has been playing bingo games at since 2003.
The married mother of one and grandmother of three revealed to the National Bingo Game website that she does not usually play on a Friday but decided to give it a go on the off-chance.
She went along with three friends and her numbers soon came up, although she initially thought that she had won £100.
"I just couldn't believe it when they told me I had also got the £50,000," she said. "We were all in shock and I didn't sleep very well that night."
Her victory came just one day after another woman, also aged 69, took home £20,000 from the same club.
