By Becky Turner on Friday, 2 Mar 2007 A lucky bingo player from Scunthorpe is celebrating after scooping a £105,000 National Bingo Game jackpot at her local Gala Bingo hall.
Steve Edward, assistant manager at the club, said he was "pleased" to announce that the jackpot - the most ever given away by the club - was won on Wednesday, the Scunthorpe Telegraph reports.
The National Bingo Game offers prizes of £100,000 between Wednesday and Saturday, while bingo players have the chance to win £200,000 on Sundays.
"You are 13 times more likely to win £100,000 on the national bingo game than winning the same prize on a lotto ticket," Mr Edward remarked.
The National Bingo Game recently reported that a care assistant from Wales won £201,527 while playing the game.
The woman said that she now plans to treat her mother and sister before jetting off on holiday with her husband to celebrate her 50th birthday.
