By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 11 Apr 2007 A 20-year-old man from Northamptonshire has won the national jackpot on only his fourth visit to a bingo hall.
The man scooped the £100,000 prize after he was persuaded to go along by his sister, reports the Kettering Evening Telegraph.
They both went to the Stardust bingo hall in Corby, which has already seen two other people win the national jackpot in the last few months.
Although the man does not want to be named, he told the newspaper that he would not be getting too excited until he has the cheque in his hands.
He added: "I hadn't actually intended to play bingo that night but I phoned my sister on her mobile and she was already at the club so I went to join her.
"I'm glad I did."
The lucky man, who joined the club in February this year, had already won £60 earlier on in the night.
