Janet Peet, who manages a betting shop, had only been playing internet bingo for one month when she won the big prize.
Her transition from the bingo hall to online bingo games was purely circumstantial and it could not have come at a better time for Janet and her husband John.
He recently lost his job and has been working on a temporary basis as a deliveryman. Janet has been working long hours at the betting shop and this is what made her stop playing at her local hall and begin playing on bingo sites.
"I couldn't believe it at first. I was upstairs and when I realised I started screaming. It was mayhem and panic. I still don't think it has sunk in yet. It's the biggest thing I've ever won," a delighted Janet told website This is Lancashire.
She told the site that it took a little while for her to realise that she had actually won as she was still getting used to how things worked on the site.
"I didn't even know I had won the cash climber, which is 32 numbers or less. I just thought I had won the £100 house," revealed Janet.
"On the screen there's a chat thing and I could see other people saying there was a cash climber winner. I texted them and said who's the cash climber winner and they said you are."
Janet won big on Bingobase partner Galabingo.co.uk and says that she plans to spend the cash on a holiday to the Maldives as well as an LCD TV.
