By Sarah Smithon Tuesday, 13 May 2008 One lucky player has walked away with £50,000, after a glitch on the Foxy Bingo website incorrectly informed the member that they had won the huge sum.
The owners of Foxy Bingo, Cashcade, had to pay out the sum after a freak technical glitch showed the jackpot at £50,000, when it was in fact £500.
Even though the game was advertised as having a guaranteed jackpot of £500, Cashcade decided to honour the larger prize making one lucky player's day.
Tracey180 was the Foxy Bingo member who benefited from the technical glitch, after she called house on a game that went on for 60 numbers.
It cost Tracey180 a meagre £1 to buy her winning bingo ticket, which considering the outcome she probably looks back on as a good investment.
Earlier this year, Foxy Bingo gave players the chance to win a share of £500,000 in cash and a guaranteed £25,000 game took place on the site last Friday.
