Everard Cunion, 50, had given up on finding a real life woman and bought several dolls, marketed as the "world's finest love dolls", from a company in America, Closer magazine reports.
"The opposite sex were always baffling to me," he said. "So I turned to dolls. I couldn't believe how lifelike they were."
Having bought a dark-skinned doll called Rebecca, he bought the blonde Caroline two years ago and married her at a ceremony in his home a few weeks ago.
He now has an array of dolls' bodies hung up on metal hooks around his bedroom and keeps the interchangeable heads in boxes.
Everard insists that he has a complete sex life with the dolls. "They don't move much, but at least I never get criticised on my performance!" he says.
