By Sarah Smithon Friday, 11 Jan 2008 Troubled singer Amy Winehouse has turned her back on black and joined the nation's army of bottle-blondes.
She was spotted sporting a Hilda Ogden-esque head scarf in the capital this week after returning from a detox stay at Bryan Adams' pad in Mustique over the Christmas holidays.
Previously renowned for her towering beehive she has now chopped her locks off entirely marking a new look for the New Year.
Winehouse has also been giving her management a headache this week as rumours emerged that she might not be able to obtain a visa into the US next month.
The singer is up for six Grammy nominations, but will be required to take a drugs test before she can be granted permission to enter the states.
Friends of the troubled star fear she will not be able to pass the test, saying that although her drug usage has decreased it has not stopped entirely.
