By Becky Turner on Tuesday, 28 Aug 2007 A bakery manager has cooked up a storm in her local bingo hall, winning an amazing £100,000 on the National Bingo game.
The woman from St Helens won the game prize of £100,000, as well as the house prize of £425, after calling house in just 43 numbers, National Bingo online reports.
The twice-weekly player won the life-changing amount at the Mecca club on Kirkland Street in the town, where she plays with her sister.
The mum-of-two says she plans to take her family on holiday as well as splash out on a new car with her unexpected cash windfall.
"I barely reacted when I was told I had won, probably because I couldn't believe it," the 48-year-old woman explained.
"That kind of thing just doesn't happen to me!"
