By Becky Turner on Friday, 13 Apr 2007 After 30 years of playing bingo, a 54-year-old from Benfleet, Essex, scooped a jackpot worth £200,000 at her local bingo hall.
Playing at the De Luxe club in Southend, the lucky winner took home the prize but has promised to share the cash with her friend, the National Bingo Game reports.
Describing the moment it was announced she had won, the woman said that it felt "unreal" and "like a dream".
"I came over all hot and cold when I was told I had won and nearly fell off my chair," she remarked.
The woman, who has been a member at the club since it was first opened, said that she would use her winnings to treat her family.
In related news, a woman from Hatfield recently won £200,000 while playing the national game at a Mecca Bingo hall in Harlow, the Welwyn and Hatfield Times reports.
