By Sarah Smithon Thursday, 28 Jun 2007 A woman who scooped a massive bingo jackpot at her local bingo hall was so overcome when she won that she could not continue to play.
The unnamed 42-year-old was playing bingo games at her local Gala Club in Enfield when her numbers came up.
She works at a local school and was with her mother when she hit the jackpot and walked away with an incredible £50,000.
The woman, who lives alone, usually plays bingo around two or three times a week and has been playing the game for a number of years.
However, until her big win, she had never won anything on the game before and must have been thinking that her like was never going to change until she struck it lucky.
"I just couldn’t believe it when I realised how much I had won," she told the National Bingo Game website. "Both my mum and I were in shock and couldn't carry on playing the rest of the session."
The lucky player says that she might use the money to put a deposit down on a flat but has not thought about it properly yet as her victory is still sinking in.
