Tunstall resident Amanda Hodgkinson hit the jackpot at her local bingo club, leaving her up by an impressive £20,400. After being a Mecca bingo member for 15 years Amanda is looking forward to putting her big win to use.
The 41 year-old mum of two has announced that the prize money will go towards decorating a new home. And by all accounts moving house is her lucky charm, having won a bingo jackpot of £1,000 the weekend before she last moved house.
"I still can't quite believe it," said Amanda. "The funny thing is, I don't usually play the national game but as everybody else sitting nearby was playing I decided to join in. I'm very glad I did!"
Recent national bingo jackpot winners include a 36-year-old man from Dumdryden who is hoping to use his £51,000 to fund a dream wedding and honeymoon.
