By Sarah Smithon Tuesday, 13 Mar 2007 A woman from Dudley who enjoys playing bingo every week recently celebrated her 102nd birthday.
Flo Pearcey, who was born on March 7th 1905, used to run her local British Legion Club where she now regularly enjoys playing bingo, the Express & Star reports.
"I go to the club every Saturday and Sunday to see my friends and to enjoy a game of bingo and six card," she told the newspaper.
Describing her friends at the club as "golden", Ms Pearcey said that she enjoys their company when she visits them.
Although she spent her 102nd birthday in hospital, the former Sunday school teacher said she had received cards and flowers on the day and had been visited by her daughter, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Earlier this year, the Express & Star reported that Annie Wheway, who calls the bingo numbers for her fellow residents at the Hayling Grove sheltered housing scheme in Wolverhampton, recently celebrated her 90th birthday.
