By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 29 Nov 2006 A bingo enthusiast from Kings Lynn recently hosted a charity bingo night in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care at her local village hall.
Ann Cox, from Terrington St Clement, organises the special event, which was attended by 140 people, held annually each year after her neighbour received care from the charity several years ago, reports the Lynn News.
Awarding prizes donated by local business, including a caravan holiday, the bingo night managed to raise £450 on the night.
Commenting on the success of the fundraising evening, which is in its ninth year, Mrs Cox said: "Everyone had a lovely night.
"I hope to organise the event again next year," she added.
Marie Curie Cancer Care says that its nurses care for approximately 50 per cent of all patients with cancer who die at home, providing free of charge care and support during the day or night.
