By Penny Walker on Monday, 29 Jan 2007 The manager of a Mecca Bingo hall in Hartlepool has been crowned this year's Sunrise Customer Service Champion.
Stuart Booth, general manager at Mecca Bingo at Hartlepool Marina, was chosen ahead of 100 other nominees to receive the award and a £2,000 cash prize, the Hartlepool Mail reports.
The 43-year-old award-winning manager, who has worked at the bingo hall for 18 months but has been with Mecca for 24 years, said that he was "very pleased" to have been selected.
After winning his award, Stuart said: "I'm just thrilled because really all I've done is got my head down and tried to make the Mecca Bingo club in Hartlepool a better and more exciting experience for our members and a happy and rewarding place to work for all our team."
Mecca's online bingo site was recently named the Which Bingo UK Site of the Year 2006, following a vote by online players.
