By Sarah Smithon Friday, 16 Mar 2007 Members of staff at the Gala Bingo hall in King's Lynn helped raise money for this year's Comic Relief campaign by taking part in a 20-mile sponsored bike ride.
Raising £600 for good causes in the UK and Africa, the ten bingo workers took to the roads wearing Comic Relief t-shirts, shorts and their all-important red noses, Lynn News reports.
Commenting on their achievement, John Keech, general manager at the club, said: "None of us are really bike riders - I haven't ridden a bike since I was 15 years old - but we thought it would be something fun to do."
After the success of the event, the staff are now planning to do it all again in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer in September.
Comic Relief was created by a number of comedians to help raise awareness of issues and to promote social change.
