By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 8 Nov 2006 A self-confessed "bingo freak" has told how she has converted her entire family to the game.
Margaret Sanderson, 69, told the Sunday Sun newspaper how she regularly brings her daughter, her grandson and his fiancee to Mecca Bingo in Hartlepool.
They even manage to claim the same table every time - the same one they shared with Mrs Sanderson's late husband before he died.
"I easily spend more than £100 a week in here, but I don't drink and I don't smoke, so it's my only vice and last week I won £1000," she said.
"For people like me, who are on their own, it's a great place to come and socialise."
Mrs Sanderson's daughter Denise described it as a "buzz", adding that young people often come in before they go off to a pub or club.
Her own daughter is also "desperate" to come, she continued, although at 16-years-old she is still too young to play.
