The great-grandfather from Eye in Suffolk has bagged a cool £40,000 playing the National Bingo Game.
After playing at the Mecca Club in All Saints Green in Norwich two or three times per week the 76-year-old finally got lucky.
He told the National Bingo: "I live about equal distance from that club and the one in Ipswich but I like the Norwich one better."
It looks like his instinct has paid-off making the lucky regular a flush fellow over the Christmas period.
Furthermore, after winning the National Bingo prize he went on to bag the house prize of £54, completing full-house in 42 numbers – the lowest call in any of the 470 clubs playing across the UK.
The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, has two daughters, six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, who can all look forward to an extra Christmas present this year.
Although he told the National Bingo that his first buy would be "a new motor".
