By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 14 Mar 2007 An 83-year-old woman from Wolverhampton has described her shock at scooping a jackpot worth £101,433 at her local Gala Bingo club.
The lucky winner, who plays bingo twice a week, said she was "all of a-tremble" when it was announced she had won the prize, the national Bingo Game reports.
"I had to ask the person sitting next to me how much I had won because I was so shocked," she remarked.
The pensioner, who claimed to be "flabbergasted" by the win, said that she now plans to share her winnings with her family.
In related news, last month Gala Bingo gave away a £51,000 jackpot to a 67-year-old woman from Bexleyheath, who said that she also intended to treat her family with her prize money.
Although she described how she "got the shakes" when she found out how much she had won, the woman said it was "lovely" when all the other members applauded her.
