By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 12 Jul 2006 A disabled bingo fan from Southend plays so often that her motorised scooter "knows its own way to the bingo hall", the National Bingo Game Association reports. The 60-year-old woman, who has four children and 16 grandchildren, struck it lucky when she visited the Mecca Club in the town's Greyhound Way, as was her habit. Despite being a member of the club since its opening, she had never had a big win until she netted a huge £20,460. She explained that the stroke of good fortune came as something of a surprise: "I was stunned. It was difficult for me to carry on playing afterwards because I was shaking so much." Her pets a puppy, two cats and a parrot - are in for a treat now that she's hit the jackpot. "I'm a real animal lover so my pets will definitely benefit from my win," she said.
