By Paula Wilcock on Tuesday, 12 Aug 2008 Two winners of a bingo jackpot of over £60,000 on the national game have stated that they will share their prizes with friends and relatives.
A 43-year-old Aberdeen resident and 61-year-old from Norwich each won approximately£30,000 from the prize pool.
Both punters play at their local Mecca bingo hall - and they finished their full houses in 45 and 44 calls respectively.
The woman will share her money with a friend who she plays with while the man has said he will honour an agreement made with his father and friend to split the money.
"I didn't think I would win on 45 numbers as that is quite high and my father was in a bit of shock," he remarked.
He stated that he may use the money to take a trip abroad with this son.
In related news, Bet365 has just launched its Caribbean bingo promotion in which the lucky winners will be able to enjoy the Caribbean islands in luxury on a cruise holiday.
