By Becky Turner on Thursday, 1 Mar 2007 A chef from Ipstones, Staffordshire is celebrating after winning £101,000 while playing bingo at her local club.
The 19-year-old, who plays at the Gala Bingo club in Fenton, won the National Bingo Game jackpot, as well as the house and regional prizes, the Staffordshire Sentinel reports.
"My legs were like jelly when I found out I had won and my mum was almost in tears when I phoned to tell her," the lucky winner said.
After dividing her winnings with her best friend, the woman told the newspaper that she is now planning to jet-off on holiday.
The player from Staffordshire is not the only generous bingo jackpot winner, with a pensioner from Fife - who won £20,497 recently - choosing to share her good fortune with her two bingo partners, the National Bingo Game reports.
The 73-year-old said she was "flabbergasted" by the prize she won at the Premier Club in Kirkcaldy.
