By Becky Turner on Friday, 16 Feb 2007 A pensioner from Chatham will be treating her husband to a brand new electric wheelchair after winning £51,206 at her local Gala Bingo club recently.
The 66-year-old described how she was so "shocked" to hear she had won that she did not know how to react, National Bingo Game reports.
"But now I'm delighted, especially as my husband can get the electric wheelchair he's been wanting," the lucky winner said.
The mother-of-three, who has played bingo for 20 years, is now planning to use the cash to make improvements to her house, as well as treating her family.
Another lucky Gala Bingo member was celebrating recently after winning £15,000 at her local club in Enfield.
Saying that she cried when it was announced she had won, the 29-year-old from Edmonton, said she is now planning to go on holiday with her eight-year-old son.
