By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 24 Jan 2007 A 55-year-old, who recently scooped over £101,000 while playing bingo at her local Mecca Bingo club, described her win as "brilliant".
The mother-of-two, who goes along to play bingo with her husband twice a week, won the National Bingo prize, in addition to a £2,238 regional prize and the house prize of £70, the Blyth & Wansbeck News Post Leader reports.
Commenting on her success, the woman told the newspaper: "We both love playing bingo and particularly like the Mecca Club for its lovely atmosphere."
The lucky winner is planning to purchase a new car and have already booked a week-long trip to Las Vegas with her husband for the fourth time.
"The lights, the dancing, the attractions, it's all fantastic!" She said.
On Wednesday January 31st, Mecca Bingo is running its Half Price Same Prize Money promotion in the evening at its clubs nationwide.
