By Becky Turner on Wednesday, 4 Jul 2007 A Bolton couple won big on the EuroMillions lottery last week, local newspaper The Bolton News has reported.
David and Marie Dobbs cashed in on over £250,000 on Friday after matching the five main numbers in the EuroMillions lottery draw.
Truck driver Mr Dobbs from Tonge Fold hurriedly chose the lucky numbers at the B & P News in Breightmet as he was in a rush.
Together with his wife, he has played the EuroMillions lottery since it began, never having won before and always choosing different numbers.
The Bolton News reported that the couple had already booked a holiday to Turkey, and had a big champagne celebration at the local pub, The Black Horse, after collecting their winnings over the weekend.
They are also planning on buying a new car and a house.
The couple had only recently come back to Bolton after living in Spain for 15 months.
"This win is fantastic. I'm originally from Yorkshire, so I won't be doing anything daft with the money," said Mr Dobbs to the press.
