By Sarah Smithon Monday, 11 Sep 2006 Brad Pitt may have laid to rest some of those pesky engagement rumours by revealing that he and Angelina Jolie do not plan to wed until all couples are entitled to marry.
In an interview for Esquire magazine's October issue, the Troy star denied that he and his actress love will be walking down the aisle just yet.
He said: "Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able."
Although same-sex unions are now legal in the UK, the issue is still very much under debate in the US.
Fellow A-lister Charlize Theron also recently said that she would not exchange vows with long-term partner Stuart Townsend until same-sex marriage was legalised.
Pitt went on to talk about his three children, five-year-old Maddox and one-year-old Zahara and his baby daughter with Jolie, Shiloh.
He said: "I try not to stifle them in any way. If it's not hurting anyone, I want them to be able to explore. Sometimes that means they can be quite rambunctious."
