By Paula Wilcock on Wednesday, 10 Jan 2007 Big Brother winner Brian Dowling has become the latest member of the Mecca Bingo "family" by becoming the online site's caller.
Mecca claims that the Irishman is now the "voice" of bingo at the site, having joined the bingo "craze".
Players visiting the Bingobase partner site can now select Brian as their caller by going to the options section during their game.
"Now you have the choice, you can listen to the dulcet Irish tones of our Brian or stick to your good old favourite caller," the site says.
According to his official website, Brian won Big Brother 2 in 2001, before embarking upon a presenting career which has seen him anchor SM:tv Live on ITV and narrate Channel 4's The Salon.
In related news, Mecca recently won the Which Bingo UK Site of the Year award for 2006, as voted for by online bingo players.
