Britney getting back on track

By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 7 May 2008

Troubled pop singer Britney Spears has been given greater access to her two sons, amid signs that the Toxic singer is trying to get her life back on track.

The pop star, who had a string of number ones after her debut with the worldwide smash Hit Me Baby One More Time, has had well publicised troubles in the last two years.

After breaking up with her husband, Kevin Federline, she shaved her head, indulging in erratic behaviour before attending rehab and being taken via ambulance to a psychiatric unit.

The result saw her lose custody of her two sons, but Mr Federline's lawyer has said that she has now been granted further access after showing signs of improvements.

The 26-year-old lost visiting rights earlier this year but is now seeing more of her sons and her parents issued a statement expressing their pleasure at the news.

"We are so pleased at Britney's progress and we are very appreciative of the court's recognition of this progress," they commented.
