By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 3 Oct 2007 National Bingo's search for 2007's bingo caller of the year is now well underway.
The first two regional finals for the competition have been completed, with Alan Musa winning the north-west round and Blake Robson taking the prize in the north-east.
Regional finals are still to be played in the midlands, the south, Wales and Scotland, with a maximum of six callers per round.
Brett Hyrjak, the winner in 2006 who is on the judging panel this year, said: "It has been a tremendous year for me and our trip to Las Vegas was fantastic."
Karl Seth won the year before. He said after winning: "I am really honoured to have won the title and I think the next year is going to be amazing."
For previous winner of the Scottish National Bingo Caller of the Year award, Graeme Garioch, winning the award was a sign of things to come.
Graeme then went on to win £101,000 in May 2007 on TV game-show Deal or No Deal, proving there is just no end to some people's luck.
