By Becky Turner on Friday, 3 Nov 2006 A woman from Chessington has landed a massive win of more than £200,000 on the bingo in Kingston upon Thames.
The 22-year-old was playing at the Gala Club in Richmond Road when she scooped the huge jackpot, which totalled £201,442, the National Bingo Game Association reports.
"I only wanted one number after 32 calls and then had to wait for another 12 before my last number, which was 46, came up," she said. "I thought I might get the regional but never dreamed I would win the national prize as well."
She said she was "overwhelmed" when she found out she had won. "I got no sleep that night and it still hasn't really sunk in."
The winner is a barmaid and now has plans to buy her own pub. "I have done the management course and should be getting my licence soon," she said.
