By Sarah Smithon Monday, 20 Nov 2006 Coronation Street star Antony Cotton, who plays Sean Tully in the soap, returned to a familiar role when he was asked to be guest of honour at a bingo hall in Preston.
The actor, who won a the best newcomer award at the National TV Awards in 2005 and whose character once worked as a bingo caller, helped to sign up new players at a Buckingham Bingo hall at St John's Shopping Centre, the Lancashire Evening post reports.
Antony, 31, was at an event attended by over 500 people to promote the launch of a brand new bingo hall on New Hall Lane, to be opened next year.
The company states that it aims to deliver "the best premises, keenest prices, the best in food and drink, with customer care and levels of entertainment that are second-to-none in the industry".
According to Buckingham, each year its 500,000 members win over £7 million in prizes and gifts.
