By Penny Walker on Wednesday, 10 May 2006 A hairdresser from Allenton has landed a £202,000 bingo win at the Gala Club in Derby. The 52-year-old woman, who has asked not to be named, managed to get a full house in 44 numbers and scoop the National Bingo Game £200,000 prize, together with a regional prize of £2,142 and a club prize of £105. The woman, who met her husband at a bingo club, said: "It's been an incredible week. I was shaking so much when they announced I had won the lot; I just went to pieces." She was shocked and needed a drink to calm down. "I had been off alcohol for three months but I had to have a brandy," she said. Her husband was away playing the fruit machines in a different part of the Gala Bingo Club when she called in the full house. "When he came back he didn't realise I had called in 44 numbers and was in with a good chance of the top prize," she said. She plans to use the money to treat the family, buy a new car and visit her sister in Spain. The rest of the winnings will go towards a pension.
