By Sarah Smithon Tuesday, 26 Feb 2008 A mum from Didcot has won a whopping £390,000 playing bingo this week.
It is an early birthday present for the winner who will turn 65 next month.
She told the National Bingo: "I have had ill-health and a rough time in the last couple of years but now this has really changed my fortunes."
Lady luck took the winner under her wing last Sunday, when she was playing at the Coronet Club in The Broadway in Didcot.
She joined the club when it first opened in 1981 and plays there at least twice a week, although her previous biggest win totalled just £200.
Club owner, John Carpenter, said: "It couldnt have happened to a nicer person."
He described the "buzz" in the club after she had won as "amazing" and said that another customer approached him after the win was announced to tell him that "it was really nice to have been a part of it".
