Double trouble in Norwich

There was double trouble in Norwich this week after two bingo betters hit the big time.

A man, who wishes to remain anonymous, was the first to win, after scooping a total of £29,857 playing at the Mecca Club in Aylsham Road, Norwich.

He won in 44 calls after playing on the National Bingo Game.

Just two days later, a 58-year-old lady and her husband won at the Mecca Club in All Saints Green, bagging themselves a whopping £62,000.

Operations manager at the club, Gary Vernall, commented on their win.

He said: "They carried on playing afterwards but the husband was playing the wrong book.

"£62,000 is an amazing amount of money and they will be able to do a lot with it. They are valued customers and intend to carry on playing bingo."

According to the National Bingo, around 500 clubs link up to play the National Game every day of the year, except on Christmas Day.
