By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 30 Aug 2006 Hollywood star Michael Douglas has said that it's "always nice to keep a healthy distance" from his wife Catherine Zeta Jones' Welsh heritage, although he said he does like spending time in Wales.
Douglas, 62, has starred in blockbusters including Basic Instinct, Fatal Attraction and Wall Street. He has two children with Welsh beauty Zeta Jones, who is 25 years his junior, and the pair are regular visitors to the country, where they have a house.
"We enjoy our time in Wales when we're there," Douglas told BBC's Breakfast programme.
However, it seems the couple are not ready to leave their home in Bermuda for the rustic charms of Wales quite yet.
"We love our Welsh family and love the Welsh, but, you know, it's always nice to keep a healthy distance."
The pair showed their love of Wales by choosing Welsh names for their children.
