Bosses at Eastenders have sacked a long-serving actress for apparently leaking a top secret storyline.

Martha Ross, mum of TV star Jonathan, had been an extra on the soap for 21 years as a market trader, reports the Sun.

Bosses at the soap dismissed her after it emerged that she had disclosed details of Pauline Fowler's departure to her other son Paul, thus breaching her contract.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Paul just happens to be a radio DJ and he repeated Martha's revelations live on air.

A friend of Martha's told the newspaper: "She was treated so badly, it's a disgrace.

"She's worked on EastEnders for 21 years and has only ever been a loyal actress."

Martha had recently filmed scenes with outgoing star Wendy Richard, whose character Pauline is tipped to be killed off at Christmas.

However, bosses have been tight-lipped about the manner of her departure.
