By Sarah Smithon Wednesday, 12 Mar 2008 A woman from Enfield has scooped nearly £20,000 while playing bingo at her local bingo hall.
NationalBingo.co.uk reports that the 56-year-old won the prize at the Gala Bingo Club on Cambridge Road, Enfield.
The lucky winner took home the National Bingo Game prize of £16,670, as well as the regional prize of £2,318 and the house prize of £210.
The mother-of-three and grandmother-of-five said that she had to double-check that she had really won.
"I went up to the manager’s office to collect my house prize and thought there was a mistake when they told me I had won the National Game," she claimed.
Her husband didn't believe she had won such a big jackpot either, thinking instead that she had won about £50, the winner commented.

Among the promotions currently on offer is the Cheltenham Special Free Bingo – which is available on Thursday evening this week.
