By Becky Turner on Friday, 20 Apr 2007 A 30-year-old woman from Glossop has described winning a £101,000 bingo jackpot as "very exciting".
The winner, who now plans to share her prize money with her friend, won the prize at the Gala Bingo club in Ashton under Lyne, the National Bingo Game reports.
"There was a lot of commotion going on in the club when I won," the lucky woman said.
"People were clapping and cheering, and staff brought us over some free drinks to celebrate."
Having played bingo for three years, the woman said that she and her friend were planning to celebrate their win with a holiday to either Egypt or the Caribbean.
Meanwhile, Gala's online bingo site is giving players that chance to win a jackpot of £10,000 in its Sharon Osbourne club on Sunday April 22nd.
The game is scheduled to begin at 21:00 GMT and players are invited to register half an hour before.
