By Becky Turner on Thursday, 8 Mar 2007 A bingo first-timer in Stirling added luck to fortune and got cash in return after scooping an impressive £20,000 win.
Accountant Tracey Reilly was not intending to play bingo but decided to have a go after entering a National Bingo Game bingo hall to escape heavy rain.
One hour into her game Tracey called house on the grand bingo prize of £20,535.
The JP Morgan capital accountant described her win as "very fluky".
"I thought I'd just won the game we were playing, with a prize of £62," she told the Scotsman. "I was delighted because I thought it would cover the cost of our day out."
Now significantly richer than when the rain started, Tracey decided to use some of her bingo prize money to fund a trip to Rio de Janeiro with a friend.
