By Becky Turner on Friday, 6 Oct 2006 A woman from Fordbridge had the shock of her life when she landed a massive £100,000-plus win on the National Bingo Game.
The 30-year-old was playing at the Gala Club in Birmingham's Kingsbury Road when she won - although initially she thought she'd just got the £180 house prize.
Her previous big win had been £550, so she was not prepared for netting a win in six figures - a total of £101,307.
"It was such a shock when I realised how much I had won and I just cried," she said. "I'm not over it yet! My dad was also shocked when I got home and told him."
The bingo hall's manager, Martin Riley, said that he wrote the amount down in letters as well as numbers for her because she said her father would not believe her.
"Everyone at the club is very happy for her and they all clapped and cheered on the night," he said.
Now the winner plans to take driving lessons and buy a new car.
