By Paula Wilcock on Tuesday, 6 Mar 2007 Bingobase partner site Gala Bingo has announced that it is lending its support to this year's Comic Relief campaign in an effort to help raise money for people in the UK and Africa.
As part of the 2007 campaign, visitors to the site's Castle Bingo Club room can get involved during the evening bingo sessions, with 77 per cent of money going towards the prize pot and 23 per cent donated to the charity.
"Thanks to you and the money you're raising with Gala Bingo, thousands of poor and disadvantaged people across the UK and Africa will get the help they need to turn their lives around," Gala said.
Gala Bingo will be hosting Comic Relief games daily between 7pm and 10pm up until March 16th.
X Factor star Sharon Osbourne is to call the numbers on one of Gala Bingo's clubs on March 9th during its The Big One Bingo Game in aid of Comic Relief.
Sharon, who will be broadcast across the UK's bingo halls on the night, said she was "delighted" to have been asked to take part.
