Paris Hilton has revealed that she is ready to face the consequences of her actions as she prepares for a 45-day stint behind bars.
The hotel heiress was found guilty of driving on a suspended licence on May 4th and sentenced by a judge in Los Angeles.
Since the sentence was announced, petitions have been popping up on the internet, some asking for the jail term to be quashed and others asking for it to be extended.
However, despite the furore caused by the judge's decision, Paris said that she is keen to address public "misconceptions" of her and is ready to face the music.
"No one is above the law. I surely am not," said the socialite. "I do not expect to be treated better than anyone else who violated probation. However, my hope is that I will not be treated worse."
Paris' lawyer is currently appealing the decision by claiming that the 26-year-old is being made an example of because of her star status.
Although she is doing her best to come across as a good-girl-at-heart, Paris appears to have made a huge error when she was seen driving while talking on a mobile phone just days after being sentenced.
